Best browser for me is Mozilla Firefox

Mozilla Firefox has been in the industry for quite some time, it’s the toughest competitor of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer in the web browser category.

The latest version is 6. Download it for free from the Firefox Homepage.

Based on my personal experience, Mozilla Firefox performs better than IE. My rating is based on 5 major categories;

  • Speed – Firefox loads web pages much faster than IE. In my experience, about 1.5x faster.
  • Security – In terms of security, I think they’re very close. The recent version release of IE browser somewhat caught up to Firefox’s web security performance.
  • Web Page Friendly – Firefox is very much compatible with almost every website out there. You rarely see an “error on page” notice at the status bar. While using IE, I often see this “error on page” notice even when using the latest IE version.
  • Features – As far as I can remember, I first used the “Tab” feature in Firefox wherein you can open another web page within the window you are currently in. It is one of the best features for me ’till now (It’s a standard for most browsers nowadays, good thing).
  • After Updating Participation Pop-ups – When you update your Firefox to the latest version, you’re ready to go, no more questions asked. Unlike IE, after updating, pop-up here, pop-up there, asking if you want to participate whatever. It causes delay to what you want to do online.

So based on these criteria, Mozilla Firefox is the best web browser for me today! More and more users are using Firefox. Plus, they offer lots of great add-ons to maximize your web experience.
