Congratulations to Michael Jordan and the Class of 2009 Basketball Hall of Fame Enshrines

Michael Jordan together with David Robinson, John Stockton, Jerry Sloan and C.Vivian Stringer are enshrined today to the Basketball Hall of Fame.

I want to congratulate them all for being this year’s class of enshrines especially Michael Jordan. Personally, he is my all-time favorite basketball player. I knew him since I started collecting NBA basketball cards when I was 10 years old. I pulled a Michael Jordan card on the very first pack I bought.

Right from that moment, I learned about him and his game by watching Chicago Bulls games on cable television since online videos are not yet present during that time. I also rented, borrowed and bought video tapes and CDs about his game.

I learned a lot about the game of basketball from him. He gave me the motivation and passion not just to play this game but to love it and be best I can be. There are some emerging players today that show resemblance of him but no one can replace Jordan, his achievements and, his love and passion for the game of basketball. Michael Jordan is the Best.

Will he play at 50 years of age? I don’t know. But if you ask me if he can still play at 50? I have no doubt, he can. Here’s a video of Michael Jordan’s speech during the ceremony;
