Last October 15, Allan Pineda Lindo better known as apl.de.ap of the Black Eyed Peas (BEP) and founder of Jeepney Music has performed a benefit concert in the Philippines to aid the victims of Typhoon Ondoy (Ketsana). The event was held at the Skydome SM North Edsa, Manila.

Apl.de.ap, a native to the Philippines and the creative ambassador to the country said, “My heart is broken to see so many of my Filipino brothers and sisters hurt by this disaster. It will take a strong global nation banned together and moving forward to restore the city we hold so dear. We are seeking donations of all kinds from around the world to help support this concert in the hopes of assisting the thousands of Manila residents left vulnerable by this tragedy.”

“It’s important for me to go back to help out,” he added. “I donated money and also we bought a couple of boxes of food, canned goods and stuff like that. I just want to tell everybody that my heart goes out to you guys and I will try my best to help out.”
